Anybody here lives near Essen Westphalia 45144 Zip?

Yes, already did lomino a service 🙂 Still the scammers seem to have found their way to classic audio on various European sales websites. As described in detail in a previous post. Recently they scammed mainly with Apple gear, now they seem to have shifted to classic/luxury audio with apparent knowledge of the matter. Technical questions are answered swiftly.

In the described case it was an about an Ortofon RS-309D turntable arm with high but still attractive price. The advertisement of the Achemist Kraken also was quite fishy. The frequency is becoming so high that I think of stopping this (free) service for UAS members.

NEVER use PayPal For Friends when buying from total strangers above a value of lets say 50 Euro, it is about a guarantee that you get scammed.

It's inevitable. My friend Henning , German auto engineer on contract in US, married Brazilian girl here and they both went to visit Germany . Afterwards I asked him how was the trip . He said first day he parked his SUV Merc at front of his apartment building an old lady opened the window and yelled at him that he either park perfectly square and parallel in the parking spot or she is calling Police 🙂 That immediately made him feel at home haha Greetings!
But there is one thing about parking lots in Germany - they are often designed for older cars (and have not been upgraded in the last 40 years), which were way smaller than modern cars. If you place an old VW Golf Mk I next to a modern MB SUV, you might think that Golf has to be a toy car, being this small. So: If you are just dropping your large SUV, you are likely occupying at least 2, maybe even 3 parking lots - and those are rare in most areas of Germany. And other car owners do really get pi$$ed about that parking skills.

I'm very grateful for the service Jaen - Lapul. I think we communicate just fine. I was recently scammed of $60 for mini- fridge bought on a fake website. Supposedly wholesale. I had to replace credit card and now I'm getting calls every hour about ED drugs , insurance offerings and other services. I will have to change the phone number. Pickup only type of ads however are rarely a scam and Kraken was pickup only and it needed service which made it look legitimate.

That old quadratisch , praktisch ,gut MB ain't so big , but I see I have to be careful cracking jokes with German brigade here🙂

Lonimo, the Kraken owner was also blocked I think. I did offer to pick it up as requested but there was no reaction at all. Also the ad was just gone. It did not feel right.

Next time we’ll do better shipping odd audio from Hermony to the ASU.
