Hey,
I am very interested in taking advantage of the fact that you can get a decent projector without paying thousands of dollars. However i dont have the time to make one of these myself i was wondering if anyone was interested in trading a projector they have made for a dishnet system.

Humm I dunno, Im sure someone here can make you one, heck even I can But it would be in the 600.00 range, for the parts and a good XGA lcd monitor and of course labor, gotta love labor. and Yes I agree please only post once it just clutters the message board with too many threads.
This thread got answers first so I'm going to leave it here. The other one gets the ax though.

hey everbody i found this on the internet. Its a projector that picks up the image that is put under it and it says that it produces a clear quality picture at up to 4 feet square. And the bottom is an opening of 5". So i was thinking couldnt you just buy a lcd and this baby and you would be set. Let me know what eeverybody thinks. Remember my goal here is to have a decent quality large TV! FOR CHEAP!

Those things at Lee Valley are sometimes called "artographs" ...it's been done before....very poor results unfortuneately. I believe NegativeDesign was into this for a while.
Where in Canada do you live?

i am in vancouver. So that wouldnt work? I was wondering if there are ways you can buy the projector ready to go and then just through your own lcd in it and it would keep the cost down.
