Anybody following Watson on Jeopardy?

Watson did win, it was a good show. My wife actually got a few the champs missed.
Was closer than I thought it would be, until final Jeopardy.
Interesting to see that Waston sometimes had the right answer, but was not quick enough.

There is a nice blog entry in the New Yorker (magazine) about some of this. Reaction times and such. BTW, Watson would only buzz if he was >50% sure of the answer.
Watson probably won because he's faster on the buzzer.
Apparently on Jeopardy, fast reactions win. Seems that all three contestants have the correct answer 90% of the time, it's just the fastest on the buzzer that get it.

Here's the item: http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/newsdesk/2011/02/buzzer-beater.html

"Watson's" TV appearance was a fascinating demonstration of both hardware and software engineering. I personally think the later is the most impressive. Nevertheless, Watson was "tuned" to provide answers to trivia, and that doesn't mean that this necessarily equates to being useful in other areas. Eventually, though, I think it will. Jeopardy has provided an interesting look at future possibilities.

Everyone here, could supply questions that would cause Watson a bad case of indigestion.
Such as: "How do you feel about the opposite sex?"
