Okay, I've more or less decided on (polymer diaphragm) Faital HF204 or HF144 (If I decide to use a compression driver over a cone).
That said, I came across this press release. Does the 204 really have the capability to go significantly lower than the 144 or is this merely marketing fluff ? http://www.faitalpro.com/en/press_&_media/news_archive/article/pdf.php?id_article=58
The two drivers even share the same diaphragm !! FaitalPRO RK HF144/146/204/206 1.4"-2" Replacement Diaphragm 8 Ohm
Thanks

Ordered a pair of HF144 drivers. From the specs, I can't ascertain any real benefit to the newer HF146 drivers.
I'll finalize the choice of waveguides next. The 18sound units are awfully tempting. FaitalPRO HF146 - AVS | Home Theater Discussions And Reviews

Yes. It seems to work as low as 550-650 Hz, with just a hint of strain when crossed over at 550 Hz . Hope the graphs / measurements / EQ profiles make senseThanks!
HF146 on XT1464 is crossed at 600, right?..
