Hi, I also have built a 2-way bookshelf using that SS Beryllium and woofer SS Illuminator 18WU last year.. it is magic, it has wide dispersion, very natural and smooth.. it works very well with the 18wu..solid deep bass.. somehow it sounds like a 3 way with 8" woofer.. It was specifically designed and tuned to match the audio system using Ayon CD player, pre-amp tube DIY and tube-hybrid power amp Counterpoint SA-12. Here some pics:

Very nice. What crossover point and slope did you use for the tweeter? Mine is LR-2 at 3000Hz. I used a 6.8uF and 0.4mH inductor. Blends very well with the AudioTechnology 15H-Cquenze midwoofer.
