Hey folks , Im going on a road trip down the coast of Oregon in a couple weeks and coming back through Portland and was wondering if there were any good affordable electronics stores down in oregon to get parts ??

Check the yellow pages under surplus. I'm sure I found a couple of places in Portland, and of course there's Boeing Surplus near Seattle.
Boeing Surplus in Seattle is long gone, alas. Got some great test equipment bargains there before the eBay vultures took over; store closed several years ago.
Vetco Electronics in Bellevue and Alphatronics in Tukwila seem to be almost it for the Seattle area.
