HQI(=HSI) = Halogenmetalldampflampen, sind bis auf wenige Anwendungsausnahmen das beste Beleuchtungsmittel für Aquarien bzw. Terrarien. Sehr schöne, nur mit HQI erreichbare, Lichtreflektionen bei bewegter Wasseroberfläche / sehr gute Sonnmöglichkeiten für Echsen mit UV-Anteil. Sehr helles Licht bei exzellenter Lichtqualität und Quantität und langer Lebensdauer des Leuchtmittels (Brenndauer ist vom Hersteller mit ca. 6000 Lichtstunden angegeben).

If so, then it`s included (inside the housing) as the the original text says:
"Das Vorschaltgerät befindet sich im Strahlern, er sind somit sofort betriebsbereit." (well, gramatically not correct but it`s understandable)
"Vorschaltgerät" is what You see on the picture (and what "thore" translated with PSU(?)) and I believe this is what You mean with ballast.
BTW: I found this auction🙂 and from the description this lamp has everything to immediately use it - ready to plug in and power up (I know this HQI lamps because I´m a fan of aquariums).

Oh cool thanks, there is new hope. I think im still gonna wait to get my projector though because im not sure if it will be the right size for a retrofit. Its cheap though! I wonder if they will ship to the US.
