Any DIY Aussies here willing to help me reform some caps?

Hey all,

Posted this over on headfi with no response, but I'm wondering if there is any Aussies here willing to help me reform about 13-14 NOS ROD EGD and Philips BC 250v caps? If so please shoot me a PM or a reply here, your services won't go unrewarded as I don't have the time nor the equipment to reform the caps.

I can't help with your time, but if you have the equipment to use the caps then you almost have the equipment to reform them. Just add a few resistors, wires and a voltmeter.

Hi DefQon, It would probably help if you stated where you are. I'm taking a stab and saying Melbourne, but you can probably verify that.

If the caps are rated at 250V then you are going to need around that to reform, so a transformer with secondaries around 170V is going to be needed.... I don't know how common that will be (perhaps in tube land, I don't know).

Thanks for the replies yes I'm located in Melbourne but I'm will post to and back to anyone in Aus who can do it. I'am aware of how the process works as I have read about but I don't have equipment at all to do it.
