I've had Doede Duama's dddac 1543 with an 8 chip tower for a couple of years now. It is a wonderful DAC. This DAC has a SPDIF input.
I'm thinking of going to a dddac1543 mark 2 which would add a second tower and the USB input to the circuit.
Can anybody compare how the USB DAC compares to the SPDIF DAC?
From a sound point of view, is this a worthwhile thing to do?

Of course I did, and it is described on my website
however, I might be seen as biased 😀
What I get as response from DIY, is that the USB delivers clearly more micro detail, texture and transparant sound stage
