Something is up with antek, all their transformers show not in stock, another forum mentioned something about an accident...anyone have info?

You can try SumR - Richard Sumner Technology. More money but good quality. Richard usual emails back promptly.
Yeah, they're more expensive but better quality and they're made in Toronto. Last I checked it was around $100 for a 500VA I needed. That was 2-3 years ago.
Actually SumR aren't bad for pricing. Just ordered a 1.5KVA low noise one (30% more copper) with all the fixin's... static shield, core band, potted... for $230.

For US/Canada there is always Plitron, but prices are around double than that and there is a hefty min order.
i had a look at the Antek site tonight. and now the have some transformers in stock. not all yet. but i guess they will come soon. this is good news🙂
