OK thanx for the link, are they expensive ?
Are they difficult to work with or do the just drop in replace the existing diodes if the bridge?
BTW do you still have my mobile phone number?

Not sure, I don't know any of the details for the power supply of the C-80. You would need to either find the part number of the existing diodes/bridge and find a datasheet or measure with a DMM then look at datasheets to find a suitable diode/bridge replacement. Then it would be looking for prices, rscomponents, jaycar or even the audiosector Ebay site. I really don't have the time to work out what you need to do the upgrades and I think there are probably more qualified modders here that would know.
Don't have you phone number any more.

A couple of members here do have the repair manual and circuit diagrams and I'm hoping that one of them can help me with the component list.
Appreciate your time so far.
In the short term it will just be the smoothing caps.

Ted

Hi Moondog55,
When you are ready for some more mods I am sure ther are many members who will be able to help. I get some of my parts from Farnell so give them a try also.
Good luck with the caps

Juki thanx, circuit diagrams came up trumps.
I'm going to put the data on a USB stick and have one of the plan printing places do it BOLD and A3 for me, was a static problem and caused by my new Croc slippers.
Adding extra surface area and mass to the heat-sinks on the Class-A section have also helped a little
