Simplified Facts but worth a thought.
Comparing the world with a village of 100 people, taking into account all nations,
this village would consist of:
57 Asians - 21 Europeans - 14 Americans (North and South) - 8 Africans
52 women - 48 men
70 not white - 30 white
70 not Christians - 30 Christians
89 hereto - 11 homo
6 persons would posses 59% of the total world resources/wealth
6 persons would have the VS-nationality
80 would be homeless
70 would not be able to read or write
50 would depend on someone else
1 would die
2 would be born
1 would have a PC
1 would have a qualification
Looking at the world in that way, it becomes clear that understanding, respect en study is a priority.
If you woke up this morning not being ill, you’re happier than 1 million people who will die in the next few days.
In case you never saw the hell of war, loneliness, hunger or the suffering of the wounded, you’re happier than 500 million people in this world.
When you can speak freely without being harassed, arrested or killed, you are happier than 3 billion people in this world.
If you have food in your fridge, you are dressed, not homeless and have a bed to sleep you are better off than 75% of humanity.
If you have a bank account, and a little money in your pocket you belong to the 8% richest people in the world.
If you can read this you’re blessed, because
1. Someone did think of you
2. You’re not one of the 2 billion analphabets in this world
And …you have a PC
