i recently got an old studiomaster 8 into 4 console
i started to clean it up an i d'like to make some improvement on this piece.
maybe some of you guys could help in here about making choices.
let's say that i would like to start by changing the opamps in the master section for example.
i read in some place (about studiomaster's 16-4-8)
The summing amps in the master should be the National LME part due to it's large open loop gain, = a clearer mix buss.
(National LME49720/LME49860)
i'm lost in here, what do you think should be a nice improvement for this particular console? due to my poor knowledge in electronics, i just can say this console has been serviced and the caps replaced.

sorry to post without more precise stuff but i don't feel comfortable about choices of electronic, i'd rather listen to your advices and do the technical part, then the ears will say..
btw, may someone have schematics for this console?
