Hi,
As ever I am here with a simple question.
I help out lots in my specialist areas (bikes and electrics), but frankly, electronics is above me.
So any help would be appreciated.
I currently use my PC to run my HT with the front channels through a separate preamp and CDP.
This all worked great, lower quality sound for films, then stick in a CD for top quality music.
Then windows 7 came along, followed by spotify.
My soundblaster X-fi elite gold sounded great under XP, but windows 7 messes up the sound. Now spotify provides a good way of getting music.
If I rip the music from spotify, and burn on to a CD. It sounds great from my CDP. However if played direct from the PC it sounds lousy.
I can set my sound card to put out the digital, is there any way of connecting that digital feed directly to the DAC on my CDP.
Sounds simple, but I don't know this stuff!
I am using an Avondale Arcam Alpha 5+
Any tips?
