Another Peerless woofer Question (CSX-10)

Hello folks and experts,

I have difficulty to decide on a good woofer/subwofer to match with pair of Fullrange Fostex FE168S drivers (XO around 160Hz)

Has anyone experience/opinion on Peerless CSX "10 driver (CSX 257 H - Order ID: 850146)

Above driver looks interesting to me and I plan to use it in a 50-80L sealed cabinette.

Any opinions is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

I've been using them to fill in the lower freqs on some B&G RD50s. I have them Xed at 350 Hz in sealed .8 Q enclosures and they sound very good. My only negative would be the stamped steel basket. So used to seeing cast these days, the stamped kind of feels cheap.

Pete,
I am glad to read you are happy with the sound of your CSX 10" in a sealed box.

You have them in sealed Q=0.8. Does it mean Volume around 33L (1.2 cu.ft) ?

If so, what was the reason for that particular volume? I am quite new to this Loadspeaker DIY thing, but, I got myself a speaker software (LspCAD) and when I set Q=8 I get 33L. With this volume I also get some limitation to the cone excursion. Was it because of cone excursion you decided on your Box volume, or was it other reason ?

Nice curve you got there Pete!

It seems you have a steep High pass filter for the CSX that is Xed around 40-50Hz !?

I had hoped to use the CSX 10" only with a subsonic 2nd order active filter as low as -3dB at 25Hz....
