1) Cats...Perhaps they are just a compromise with the wife...They have not always been an audiofreaks best friend when they have decide to stretch out on the speaker grills.

I can't vouch for this story, but I knew a fellow who swore he had a friend whose (male) cat decided to scent his electrostats. Supposedly the cat was found the next day, stiff as a board.

Here's why I would not recommend owning a cat as a prerequisite to "being in the club".

These where from my old Bose Interaudio's. A big deal to me at the time...needless to say that cat is no longer with us

Q is the letter in schematics generally used for transistors. A Q pack is a package of transistors. At ww.Passdiy.com, Nelson et al has Q packs for the Pearl preamp and the Zen amp.
