You may have read my thread "help, i'm on a budget" so this is sort of a continuation.
I have decided to use this speaker:

BUT what kind of box should i use? Closed or vented?
I am useing the sub for films and music and am looking for something which you can feel the beats and the explosions. So what kind of box?

You should know you are looking at a fairly large box with this driver... 100 liter minimum.. 120 liter gives a -3dB point at 37Hz when tuned to 34Hz..
yup, 121.1 litre when vented.
So is the vented going to be better for the beat in music and explosions in films? Which kinda box will give me the most vibration?

50 to 60 litres closed and stuffed, or 100L tuned to 34Hz or
my illustrated (in the previous thread) 120L tuned to 28Hz.
A reflex is the headbangers cabinet of choice by default.
🙂 sreten.
