Hey, I thought I'd introduce myself and my interests and such. I am soon to be entering my third year of college majoring in sound recording technology in SUNY Fredonia (located in western New York region, USA). As a recording engineer, I tend to have many audio interests besides audiophile systems including modification of existing (and often cheap) gear to make it sound better.
For my own personal monitoring setup, I am currently in search of an amplifier. I considered building a chip amp based on either a texas or national chip, but I managed to come accross a fairly easy looking schematic for a JLH (03 version) class A amp that seemed a bit more interesting.
As far as other interests, I can enjoy just about anything electronic. I'm still learning and doing my best to understand the art that generally amounts to controlling the movement of electrons. I look forward to learning more about audio and finding a few designs that work for my tastes.
Cheers,
Jon
