Another implementation of a Jung Super Regulator

Hello,

I just want to show my Jung Reg for +/- supply:

(remote sensing is connected locally).

I see that some people use separate ground for the remote sensing. Is this necessary?

A small quastion: does it make sense to power op-amp designs with such a regulator? I already got cleaner sound from a Kaneda preamp with Super reg at +/- 30V, but do I need it for opamps?

Hi,
the opamp input pins do the measuring.
They monitor the voltage difference between two sides of a bridge and use the very high gain of the opamp to try to make the voltage difference across the bridge as near zero as the opamp can manage.

The bridge relies totally for it's accuracy on the BRIDGE LAYOUT and this demands that all the measuring sides DO NOT share any traces with the power output via the flow route nor the return route, not just the ground. The opamp supply rails are considered the power side.

PRESERVE the BRIDGE LAYOUT at all costs.
 
Hi,
from the pic I see a pair of 825s measuring the two halves of your dual supply.
Each 825 has conventional two pin inputs (inverting and non-inverting).

Have another look.

Have you read Walt and Jan's articles on the super reg? and before?

Superb photo quality.
How did you get that depth of field. Bright light and small Fstop?
