Another F5 question - beginner needs help in purchasing decision

Hello everybody,
the other day I had the chance of listeing to an F5 amplifier at home - and I liked it a lot - now I have been offer a version of this amp using input transformers and on the green boards itself it says XF5 amp (2012). I understand that this means it uses balanced inputs (which I actually don't need as I don't have any balanced outputs in my preamps). So my question: does it make sense buying such an amp and - (most importantly) will it sound like the F5 I have heard (which I understand uses the standard parts suggested in the building threat somewhere around here - and in the offered XF5 I can at least spot those brown dale resistors)? I might add that in the F5 I could listen to the power supply was beefed up by an additional choke and filter cap. Any feedback will be appreciated - thx.

Thanks for the feedback - I understand that the amp itself is not inferior to an F5 - the offer I have is for an amp that has already been built - and the seller is not the builder so he doesn't really know much. Is there anything I should watch out for if in such a finished amp?

I think what bothers me are those two transformers at the input - I know other Pass amps use such devices, but will they steal from the transparency of the F5?

I guess it could depend on the quality of the ones in question, but I have Jensen input transformers in both my First Watt amps. I can tell no difference in sound.

You can always just take them out.
