Hi folks,

I am currently working on a ESS Sabre 32 (ES9018) Project..
The Project is based on the ESS reference design for ES9018 2 channel pdf;
http://www.esstech.com/PDF/Sabre_8_2Channel_64PIN_V3_SCH.pdf
PCB design and component selection is referenced on ESS s application note;
http://www.esstech.com/PDF/Application_Note_Component_Selection_and_PCB_Layout.pdf
Components will be;
1 x ES9018
4 x OPA1641 For I/V section (optionally OPA627) N: 5.1nV/√Hz, THD: 0.00005%
2 x LME49990 For the buffer (optionally AD797) N :0.9 nV/√Hz, THD: 0.00001%
3 x LP5907 3V3 (1 for left ch AVCC, 1 for right ch AVCC and 1 for VDD) N: 6.5µV RMS
3 x LP5907 1V2 (1 for left ch AVCC, 1 for right ch AVCC and 1 for core VDD) N: 6.5µV RMS
2 x TPS7A4700 (+/-15V for opamps) N: 4.17µV RMS
1 x LMV7219 Comparator (for SPDIF input buffer)
1 x EPSON TOYOCOM - XG-1000CA 100Mhz SAW oscillator
4 x 100pF (+/-0.5pF) Cornell Dubilier Silver Mica caps for I/V-filter section
2 x 100nF Wima MKP2 caps for the buffer section
2 x 10nF Wima MKP2 caps for the buffer section
3 x 470pF Wima FKP2 for XLR output
All low noise 25ppm Panasonic SMD 0603 %0.1 metal film resistors
All 10µF bypass capacitors SMD 1210 TDK ultra low ESR X7R series
All 100nF bypass capacitors SMD 0603 TDK ultra low ESR X7R series
Silver plated FR4 double sided PCB with complete double sided ground plane and very short signal paths as possible.
All data pins (DATA1-DATA8, DATACLK, RESET, I2C, AUTOMUTE, LOCK) and DAC 2x4 parallled differential outputs of ES9018 will be on the headers. Alternative component recommendations will be considered.

The price will be around 290€+shipping (registered postal) (depends on counts)

The Project is almost finished.

So I’d like to know that if anyone will be interested if I sell that kit with “completely soldered”...

PS: A Cortex M0 CPU board with RC5 and rotary encoder input and TFT display with firmware loaded to control this board will be the next project. Until that you can use that ES9018 board in native mode (HW)..
