Another #$%&*@ Newbie
I am not new to audio, but I've never tried to build anything other than a rack for my store-bought equipment. I thought that I might want to try something down the road. So don't mind my lurking here. I'll ask questions when I decide what I want to do, and you can all find out how dumb I can be.

Hi Jack,
Welcome to the forum. You are more than welcome to lurk until your heart's content. You know what they about dumb questions, so ask away.

Of course: "There are no dumb questions, only dumb people."
Is that it? Anyways, welcome Jack. There are a lot of DIY things which seem harder than they actually are. Don't worry, you'll have no money (and more speakers than you know what to do with) before you know it...
Welcome newbie! There are few on here less expirienced with audio DIY than I, but I'd be happy to offer any advice I can. One thing I can say is, as far as DIY audio goes, I think a sub a great place to start. For about $350-400, you can build a sub that far exceeds the performance of about 98% of the commercial subs out there, that is if you have any desire to have a subwoofer.
