Cruquius
It should be 50 hz, so maybe they are messing with you. Are you sure the Cruquius is still working and generating 220-230 volts or are they changing it into an American Windmill generating 110-127V @ 60 hz ...

Hi,
I found out my problem of my 5 seconds of humm.
On the picture you see I stacked the toroids on each other.
When connected on the net, I heard a buzzing humm for just 5 seconds and then dissappeared, then 5 seconds later it reappeared.
Then I began to think (harder), and realized the they were wrongly connected on the primary side.
The hum is now gone, I switched the mains for one toriod at the primary side of the connection in the mains.(sorry for my bad english)
Now the hum is gone..,hurraaii
Another thing.., I inserted on the mains 2x17Watt resistors on the fase and minus of the mains, to reduce peak surges.
Works fine for me, since I load for a total of 260.000uF.
Hope this information helps.
Later more pictures for my stereo aleph 60.
I'm still confused about this manual, in the manual it says it consumes about 240Watts, later in the manual in states for approximatly 200watts. What wattage is it? Still a 40Watts difference.
Thank you.
