Well..
This is my current project..
I'm still choosing wich project.., an Aleph 5 or an stereo aleph 60.
Toroids are 625VA 2x25VAC..
Still got a little problem.., when switching on.., the toriods make a little hummm.., 5 seconds later it's gone.., then 5 seconds it reappears again.., anyone got a solution? I don't use inrusch limiters..(I know I should🙁 ), each channel is loaded with 130.000uF..
Sorry for the big pictures..
Thank you

Thanks, Blank did you get all your parts at Radio Rotor in the Kinkerstraat😀 . This looks like a serious amp man, good job.
Well... more to come..., 😀
My computer (site) won't accept the other pictures.., still wondering why..

Still the main question..
Wich amp.. aleph 5 (more bias?) or an aleph 60.
Someone who knows wich cures the hummmm?
I have in the mains (220V) 2 ferite cores for each transformer (like a pig nose
) to filter high-frequent..maybe that's the reason..
On the secondary I also have ferite cores but then only on the ground connection.. as seen on the inside picture.
Any help?
Thanks..

Nice factory you have there..Do you think the UN inspectors may want to pay you a visit to look for any massive ampifiers? 😀

Blank, are you looking for a new project or are you wandering what the heck to do with your current setup?
You could always put it in your bakfiets and deliver it to my brother. I will pick it up in no time 😀 and make it an aleph-x
Btw. where do you keep your bikes now ???

Well..
An aleph x has a lower voltage..I think..am I wrong?
I'd love to build one.., butt that the only limit..15V instead of 33V on my secondairies
My bikes are in the same barn.., they are on the left.. not seenable..

I'm still confused..
Can I use this chassis with (625VA) 25VAC for an Aleph x?
Is that what you mean sstone?
It's an awfull lot of reading in that thread of the aleph x
Well.. still no answer about the hummmmm

I think that might be a bit to high.
Do you have the manuels for the aleph-60. If not I can point you in the right direction.
I was just joking about the X because that is the hip word this time of the year.
It gives a new meaning to X-mas.
Where about do you live in Amsterdam?

Re: X
Yes, but it can be confusing because for the X-wife there is absolutely no feedback from your output to your input.

Wise words mister X-man.
It took me a while to put some distance
between me and my X-wife. I had to pay an X amount of money
for X years. But it is over now.

Well actually I live in Haarlem.., but when I say A'dam the people outside then know were I live😉
I got almost anything surplus.., around 230 euros
Most expesive was the transformers.., the heatsinks were 20 euros..😕 🙂

That is an outstanding deal. I would go for the 60.
I myself will get a aleph-30 for X-mas.
And mine will be build by mr. Pass himself. (sort of)

I thought so to.., an stereo aleph 60
The commercial version has heatsinks as a size of (going from chassis size) :
Volksamp= 390x140 = 54600cm2 x2= 109200cm2
Mine = 320x300 = 96000cm2
Since I'm using a lower voltage 32V approx. i'll be in the save section.
Plus I'm thinking finishing front and back with more heatsinks.
Thanks.
I'm gonna remove the ferrites on the primary section, maybe that's the reason of the 60hz hum.
