hello!
ok! after a couple of hours of thinking and reading i
want to ask what kind amplifier
will suit my speakers best?
here is my cosiderations
2 zens v 4 running in a bi amp mode
one aleph x or one aleph 3
or even 2 aleph x or 2 aleph 3 in a bi amp mode
maybe another aleph instead?
both of them will work with bride of zen preamp
or balanced line stage pre
my speakers specs:
sensitivity 1W @ 1m - 88 dB
impedance - 6 Ohm
frequency area +/- 3dB - 30 - 23 000 Hz
Crossover frequency - 3 kHz
system 2 way.- Basreflex
authentic voice model 221

i have seen some people from poland here
so i will be pleased to know about good source of
radiators and aluminium plates in poland?
maybe some of you
(from poland) have any pcb's for sale?

update
definitly it will be an aleph 3 or aleph x
if the power will be not enough. i will run them in bi-amp mode
but the second problem remains:<
so i beg anyone from poland to help me
please
ps. is aleph x much harder to bylid than aleph 3? from that what i have read they are ot as easy as zen but ... on the same level?

Re: update
I haven't built any of them yet, though I plan to build the Aleph-X with Chad's boards. From what I have read, the AX requires quite a bit of tweaking, whereas the Aleph 3 is more "plug and play".

thank you for your reply
ok i will be definitly building aleph 3
but i cannot stop thinking about zen:>
i will proably try to make my own pcb layout or even use silver p2p wiring instead

Re: Re: update
no tweaking, apart from a pot on the current source
feeding the diff pair to adjust the absolute offset DC.
Assuming that the design is correct, the Aleph X requiresSparhawk said:From what I have read, the AX requires quite a bit of tweaking

thank you nelson...
so lets sum things up:>
1) i have read as much as i can about aleph x but as it is my first experience with aleph amplifiers i will certainly go for a classical aleph
2)at this moment i need to determine wich one
3)i will use one layer pcb
5) i need to find out where to buy sinks and aluminium plates
nd the zen v4 is still on my mind :>
but i dont know if 1 bi amped zen per channel will be enough in my case ???

definitly aleph 3...:>
may be not definitly but at 95%
the others i consider are aleph 5 or aleph 30 (aka volksamp 30?) and double zens

Re: Re: Re: update
I stand (or sit) corrected, then. I was just going by the discussion in the Aleph-X thread, where there are many warnings to the tune of "this project is not suitable for beginners", etc.

It will be ...
aleph 5
but i beg anyone from poland and maybe czech republic please help me
i have some issuse getting proper heatsinks and irfp244
so i will be pleased with every information bout them
ps i will use pcbs from there
http://users.bigpond.net.au/mefinnis/passlabs/aleph5_construction.htm
are they good or maybe i should use kristjan ones or something else?

That's good, since I plan to build a pair. Eventually. 😉
