Hi, I have a

iiyama ProLite E380-S
Resolution : 1024 x 768
15"
Contrast : 400:1
Reponse : 25ms

I've read that it uses LCD-TFT technology, I'm not sure what does exactly mean, anybody knows if this kind of screen or this screen in particular is suitable for a DIY projector?. THANKS!

well basically all lcd monitors for pcs these days are TFT. TFT is just a type of technology which basically stands for "thin film transistor". These monitors are fast in response as each pixel is controlled by transistors.
The REALLY OLD lcds before were passive matrix which were only meant for still pictures any moving image were extremely blurred and deformed.

TFT is just the standard type of lcd, nothing special.
