Personally, I'm waiting for someone to develop a foam teflon capacitor. Dielectric constant, say, of about 1.6-1.7. Anyone feeling so inspired? Think Mupor, Porex, GoreTex ...

Air variable capacitors -- like the kind used in old a.m. radios -- had a capacitance of 365pF per bank -- of course when I was growing up it was mmF, not pF.
