Ah... What kind of sound? Sound going through you Yamahammer!

Just flexibility for the tone controls. Features that the purist snobs caused to go away that were quite handy. You set your tone controls for what is most pleasing for you in your room. This switch changes where the tone controls start their action. Fiddle and listen.

Example, if set at 2.5 and you boost the treble a little, you will get a more "forward" sound as yo are starting to boost in the most sensitive hearing range, where if set at 5K, you will hear more of a lift to the very highs without as much mid boost. It all depends on your room, your speakers, your ears.

I did not formulate properly! It has a sticker on the back with the Power cunsumption and in the manual specs say user should apply on these buttons whenever the need to adjust sound depending to the speakers that need more treble or the necesety of the bass turnover button to be put into action! ---------------------- I do not now if it consumes more than on the sticker on the back -------------------- Second: I did not know when those turover buttons give or take more lows or trebble.
