Iv'e been searching all over the forum to find a nice pre made amp chassis or case perferably with an Alum. face. the only place i found was in Europe. Dose any body know where to get a chassis some where in north america so shipping will be reasonalble. i'm trying to start an 8 channel Ucd-180 project but can't find premade case, I'm lacking the metal working tools for anything decent. Ya I'm a newbi to the forum but i've been builing speakers for a while and want to dip into the amps for a switch. any suggestions or reconmendations would be great! Thanks

Par-metal stuff is nice, but you also might want to look at http://www.lansing-enclosures.com/
there a lot of chasing made from many company and country
it depends how much money will you spend
try :
http://www.atiresearch-anodized.com/
this is my favourite
the other things you can try gogle, write pre amp chasing
than search

ATI chassis
I remember having already seen an ATI interior showing a metal bracket to join 2 half length heatsinks together to form a complete length for the side of the chassis. Am I correct or was it another type of chassis?
Does someone has a picture of the interior of the ATI chassis becasue this possible bracket may interfere with the positioning of the power output tansistors and attachment means?
I am planning to get an ATI-279M.
Thanks

I have the same problem and am currently considering these chassis products:
http://www.thlaudio.com
I am sure it exsists locally but I haven't came across or searched any further. So what was the place in Europe?

Hello J'
I have ordered simple caps from them ( http://www.thlaudio.com/ ) for an order less than 100$ can and got the parts with no problem from what I remember.
Re: Re: ATI chassis
thanks for the link !
I have not a real problem with the bracket at the bottom of the heatsink but the upper one may be problematic. I suppose I could replace the upper bracket with another more simple one (not an "L" bracket) at the highest position so I could have enough room for the power transistors...
Also, does anybody have a picture of the interior of this chassis :
http://www.audiokit.it/ITAENG/Cabinet/HI-FI2000/pesdiss.jpg
and/or have experience with this Italian company ?
Thanks in advance

If you are looking for nice smaller extruded aluminum boxes suitable for something like a T-Amp, PartsExpress has some nice ones from Penn. Go to http://www.partsexpress.com and search on 'project box'
