this isn't very helpful.... saying it's switched on without specifying whether or not it's being driven with a signal or just idling with no signal applied....the details are important.amp been switched on a couple of hours now R31,44,30 not giving off much heat
have all the emitter resistors been tested out of circuit?
and as to the diodes once again you need to be more specific.

Was likely the issue.
And if those diodes were in the VI limiter section
then fly back voltages of over a 100 volts was seen.
even a quick burst can damage them.
C20 / C21 likely damaged as well since 50 volt
have seen that many times.
Output section transistors get replaced and amplifier works again.
But VI limiter section is still damaged.
And if slow down caps, even transistors are left in
usually the bad caps will cause the amplifier to be unstable.
can also pull the VI limiter transistors and see if they are ok.
