I am completing the building of my 41 HZ Amp6. I would like to use both AC and DC for the power. I will use a switch so I switch between the two types of power sources.
I am in the USA and would like recommendations for power transformers and sources.
I read that there are current inrush issues with torroids and hum isolation with iron core transformers. What are the pros and or cons of torroids over conventional power transformers?
I am considering SLA battery, but have a car battery that I can use immediately. For DC what size battery would be advisable?
TIA

Good cheap toroids can be found at partsexpress.com. Look for the brand Avel Lindberg.
Toroids do have an inrush current higher than EI core transformers, but your house wiring won't have a problem with a smaller VA toroid. I have a Plitron 120VA with 22,000uF after the rectifier on each secondary and the lights in the house dim ever so slightly when I turn the supply on. A slow start circuit will never hurt but isn't really necessary for lower VA transformers.
A car battery will let you play for a long time before it needs to be charged again. Look for a sealed lead acid battery in the 8-12Ah range (I think that's what most people use).

Will a 50VA transformer be enough for an AMP6?
The amp will only power some PC-speakers. (TB W3-871s)
