I am relatively new to the DIY audio community. I am looking to build some mono-bloc amps to power some planers and ribbons I am building. I would love it if someone could explain in newbie terms the difference between Tube, Chip, Solid State, and class D Amps. Also what are the benefits and drawbacks of each design.
