amp oscillating when trunk is popped open

This just started happening after I put some new 6x9s in the rear of my 2-door car. In the trunk there is a 10" subwoofer hooked to a 100 watt amplifier. If I leave the amp on and pop the trunk [opens with solenoid latch] the subwoofer will start humming giving a nice loud feedback at max volume until I shut the amp off. The amp inputs are connected to the rear 6x9 lines.
I suspect what the problem is, but I would like to see if anyone else has the same idea.

Also -
I would like to know if anyone out there knows how to determine the polarity of the stock speaker wires without pulling the OEM head unit out [which may not tell me anyway]?

Thanks a lot.

Sounds like your getting feedback from the sub resonating the 6x9's causing the signal to feedback into the amp. I've never heard of that problem with high level inputs before, but i can understand why it could happen.

You have the same idea as me. I think I'll just have to try to hook up a real remote line that will always shut off the amp with the ignition off.
