I have a kenwood 617-dvd headset and two solobaric 8 L7. What would be a good amp to run these speakers??? They both are 900 watts max and 350 watts rms. Does kicker make an amp sufficient enough, or should I go with another brand???

Thanks -Mark

Kicker Warhorse = 10,000 watts (20,000 watts peak *claimed)
Only $10K....

I am sure a smaller kicker amp will suit you better....but this is avaliable!

😀

No, that's not the proper amp if they are dual 4 ohm coils. You would need either a 1 ohm stable one channel amp or a two channel amp that produces 750 to 800watts rms at 4 ohm bridged.

For the one channel amp you'd parallel the coils together on the woofers (+ to + and - to -) and then parallel them at the amp, unless the amp has four terminals, then you can connect them in their own terminals.

For the two channel amp you'd need to series the coils at the woofers (jump one + to one - and then use the two left over terminals to go outside the box to the amp) , then you bridge both sets of wires at the amp, mono.

You can run it at 4 ohms, you just get half the wattage likely 350 into both so 175 each. Series the coils on each sub to 8 ohms and parallel the two subs to 4 ohms at amp. It will work but not max out the subs. Otherwise do what Ppia600 said.
