i have cahnged every diode to 11dq10, silver mica 10p caps in the clock wow clean more open sound just from the clock mods, enla starget capacitors throughout the dac section. uprated caps on the power supply and this player is much better than the modified marantz i have here, and it blows away the cambridge cd 4 se well away

Don't forget that damping the case will help to....
I'd also look at the muting transitors [if present] and remove them and then the dc blocking cap in the output...this can really emasculate the sound.

Apologies for digging up old posts but I have a Mission daD5 which I have owned since new and I have searching for information on it. It is starting to just quit playing from time to time and I'd like to try repairing it myself and maybe doing a little upgrade work at the same time.
Is anybody out there offering repair/upgrade kits? Are manuals/schematics available anywhere? Mission doesn't seem to exist in this country anymore.
