alright so i just killed my second lcd trying to focus my 2.5" projector. i cant understand i can focus the center or the outside but never both at once. i read somewhere the lcd was not far enough from the lens but i actually tryed it a million ways and it wouldnt focus right, i ripped the ribbon cord moving it back and forth for the second time. i finaly have come to the conclusion that i must be missing a lens or somthing, im using this crt lens from a projection tv... what is wrong?!?! im buying another lcd tommorow... gotta get it right!@!$%$

From the writing on the sticker, it sounds like that lens came off a CRT projector. If that's the case then the lens might be designed to focus a curved screen of the CRT tube.

I had the same problem with my delta 78 lens. Darn thing just would not focus a flat lcd as it was designed for a rounded crt tube.
Find another lens and get a good cooling fan for your lcd before you cook another one.
Just my opinion though 😀

I am using a crt lens Delta Tac-3 on a PSone. I had a similar issue, I fixed it by angling the bottom of the lens a a few degrees. Set the focus of the CRT lens at 1/2 and then put it so the rear part of the lens housing is parrallel with the LCD. Test here and get it focussed the best you can. now move the bottom of the lens outward 1/4 inch or so and re focus. I was able to get 90-95% of the screen in focus. Now it isn't perfect but it is more uniform and since I have two focus controls on my lens I can get it pretty tight, of course I put it out of focus a bit which gives a much more watchable picture for the movies (-sde)
I don't know if it will work or not for you, but with crt lenses the lens housing should be very close to parallel with the lcd. If it works it will save you from having to purchase another lens.
i called the tv place i got this lens from and they say it actually was a flat screen! so is there anything else i could be missing?
i will try that mission, thanks for your help!

The rear of the lense housing should be parallel or flush with the entire LCD (if it were toughing it would be flat against it. From there work outwords from the bottom and try making small adjustments to see what the effect is on focus.
I hope it works for ya.
