I'm receiving lots of e-mails asking for shipping cost and availability.
There is a flat rate for shipping: $5 USD worldwide. And I will have enough of those pads for everybody.😉
Payment is by cash, MO or Paypal (3% applies).

Just to let everybody interested to know that I still didn't received my pads yet. I ordered 500 from a supplier and was informed that the shipment would be within 4 days. I called today and it appears that it's on backorder and first date that pads will be available is April 23. It will take 4 days from that day to ship to me and then I will be able to fill all your orders. So if somebody cannot wait that long I will gladly refund your money, or if somebody is interested in the product I will gladly take more orders. Either way works fine with me.😉
I got confirmation on my order and it's been sent to me today. I will be resending the individual requests soon 😉
Hi
I am interested. Just would like to find out more. Is this something like Si Pad? How does it compare with Si Pad? Do I use this with or without thermal gel?
Thanks

I don't know what's Si pad. You need grease. It is very hard and brittle material, about 1/16" thick, almost like ceramic.
I'm not sure, but I much prefer to work with them. Especially on gainclone chips, I get extra space between pins and heatsink to place feedback resistor there. I believe they are better than mica also and there is no way you accidentally short the device's case to the sink.
just as an offtopic question ..
when mounting the ic's to the heatsinks that are isolated from the chassis (so no ground), do they still need to be isolated? or just some thermal grease?

If you can make sure that heatsinks won't get in contact with a rest of a chassiss, no insualtors are required, just thermal grease. That's what Cello were doing in their amps.
well the chassis is gonna be out of wood, so i think i'm safe far as that goes 🙂
so long as none of the leads touches it anyway .. then i'm in a lot of trouble ..
but that's kind of a given 🙂
thanks

they'll work for your Aleph 2.
see beginning of thread for price. As long as Peter's not taking
a bath on selling them they'll probably be the same.
