So TI discontinued the soic version I've been using in a project as output buffer in a composite amp. I've quite a few pcb left I'd like to use but no lme49713 left.
Any idea on an alternative ? It must be:
- fast (it's inside the feedback loop of another opamp);
- a single opamp;
- in soic package;
- with decent output current (the lme was close to 100mA);
- ideally with higher than +/-5v rails.

LT1395 looks to be the best fit from LT for your wish list - LT1395 - Single 400MHz Current Feedback Amplifier - Linear Technology
jackinnj: thx, I might contact you
Sergey888 : oh, there's no fixation on cfa. My first choice for that amp was the lm6171 and I will probably go back to it. (see http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/headphone-systems/261952-opa2134-lm6172-composite-amp.html ). To be true, I had not realized that the lm6171 had twice the current output of the lm6172.
chris719: I've used the tpa in the past but it won't fit the existing board.
abraxalito: not a bad catch but the max +/-6V rails are a bit low. Thx for the suggestion though.

LM7171 might be a better choice if you inner stage gain is 2 (looks like), although you may need to reconsider values or add a capacitor to its feedback divider.
Adding input and output filters is quite desirable.
Had some fun myself with a similar type of a concept a while ago - https://www.reddit.com/r/diyaudio/comments/2ynvlt/the_crocodile_headphone_amp/
