I just came across a brand new pair of vintage altec lansing 3156's does anybody know what the specs are on these or, does anybody know where I could find the specs. Altec Lansing hasn't been real helpful.
Thanks,

I am looking to build a set of cabinets for these speakers, but I am having trouble with the design. Using the paramters that I have for them I am comming up with a smaller enclosure than what I think that it should be. I also tested the speakers and found them to have a free air resonace of 30 Hz. Can anybody guide me in a direction on cabinet building. I think that a ported box would be best but maybe not. I plan on using these as part of a three way system. I think that they could provide the low end that I am looking for. I am also very interested in a labrynth design, any comments.

This is an image from an old Altec catalog of a sub that used the Altec 3156 drivers. The dimensions are listed, so you could get pretty close with them and the photo.
