I'm well familiar with Altec 288C and I love the sound it produces in my 370Hz horn. Recently, I was offered a pair of Altec 292-8A in good condition with original diaphragms for $400. Anybody can share his experience with Altec 292-8A? How does it compare with the 288C? Is a pair of 292-8A's worth $400?
