i'm building --> http://tinyurl.com/ysamhm
it's almost done, i'll finish soldering it together tommorow, i believe.
i just wanted to ask if anyone has already built this amp, how does it sound? what can i expect?
cheers

what is L1? it says it's 10uH (10 vindings round R17)
but R17 is on the other side of the pcb. i'm not sure where R23 goes? is it 10 windings roung R23 maybe?
look at picture plz

any help?

here's the diagram, new link, work 100%

here's the project, http://uti-zadar.hr/quad/25wamp.htm
if you look at the pictures you'll notice the coil is wound around a big resistor, so it must be R23, which is 5W, and not R17 which is 0,6W.
i guess that's clear now.
but one other thing
where is R7, i don't see it anywhere on the schematics, or the pcb, yet it it listed in the parts list. i guess it's a typo?
and one other thing regarding the capacitors. i bought poly capacitors instead of MKT capacitors. will they work ok, what's the difference between these two types of capcitors?
hope you can answer cheers

It looks like the part numbers on the PCB do not match those on the schematic - BUT there is a Parts List on the website, and the part numbers on there are correct.
I would just follow the parts list and ignore the schematic. You may want to print a schematic out though and put on the right part numbers, in case you have to troubleshoot it. I'd e-mail the author (original page is http://hjem.get2net.dk/webaudio/25w/25wamp.htm) and tell him.
EDIT - the part numbers on the Postscript version of the schematic ARE correct, just the image copies on his website are wrong.

Around R23. It's not very critical. Roughly 10 turns will do.
Do make sure you have been following either the Parts List or the Postscript version of the schematic. If you haven't, you will have parts in the wrong place.
