The LM833 circuit from National was one of the first I had built.

Hesener, the offset trim in the Paradise does not only null the input DC offset but is also a feedback loop that erodes the differences in the NPN and PNP compliments.
It also affects distortion ( lowers it when DC nulled ) so no wonder it sounds better when it is adjusted right.
so its a triple whammy, even better 😀
