Hi, it needs general maintenance, also it has weak output on all channels and oscillations after setting gain knob at >3, also has a blown headphone output.
I'm also after the service manual (or schematics) for ZED 14 (non FX model).
My problem is with the output section.
Main out OK
Rec out OK
Aux 3 & 4 OK
Aux 1 vestigial signal
Aux 2 no signal
Headphone no signal
Mono out no signal
Alt out no signal (both switch positions)
Left meter NG, right meter OK.
After a visual check:
Master board: looks like U2 is definitely fried. U3 and U4 look like they might possibly be damaged.
Phones-meter R board: Q1 looks like it could be damaged.
With such a complex series of faults I'm guessing there is a lot of damage. Boat anchor? If anyone has experienced anything similar I would be grateful for ay help. Thanks.

I’d start by checking pins 4 and 8 of the op amps in question - that looks like a TL072 which is actually hard to kill without doing something really stupid like driving it beyond the rails with no resistor to limit the current or reversing (or overvoltage) on the supplies.

Nice, but not absolutely necessary. If you can dope out the power supply and rule out severe operator error (like running an MA5000VZ‘s output into an aux send don’t dismiss the possibility it’s been done) you’ll uncover 99.9% of what can go wrong with op amp circuits. The signal path is not usually at fault, and if it is it’s usually a pot or switch that’s open/bad. And would never cause that kind of damage.
I once had an oscillating 7915 take out 44 op amp IC’s . I was not happy about desoldering all of those.

El problema de la consola ZED 12FX es solo las salidas aux1 y aux 2 que No presentan audio a la salida.
Revisando la consola resultó estar quemado el U2 de la plaqueta AG6748_5 MASTER el que reemplacé.
Luego de armada la consola nuevamente la salida AUX 1 funciona perfectamente pero la salida AUX 2 sigue con la ausencia de AUDIO.
Seguiré revisando el camino de la señal del bus de AUX 2 para tratar de encoontrar el problema.
Le agradezco la información, sabe usted si puedo comprar el manual de servicio de la mesa de mezcla??

The problem with the ZED 12FX console is only the aux1 and aux 2 outputs that do not present audio to the output.
Checking the console, it turned out that the U2 of the AG6748_5 MASTER board, which I replaced, was burned.
After the console is armed again, the AUX 1 output works perfectly but the AUX 2 output continues with the absence of AUDIO.
I'll keep checking the AUX 2 bus signal path to try to find the problem.
I appreciate the information, do you know if I can buy the service manual for the mixer?
Procedimiento.
1 - Retiras la tapa trasera del mixer.
Identificas las plaquetas. Para retirar el MASTER debes primero retirar la PCB de efector y la PCB de BUS de conexión.
3 - Retiras la Fuente de alimentación previamente controlados los voltajes: +/- 15 VCC, 48 VCC y 10 VCC.
4 - Retiras la PCB MASTER.
5 - identificar U2 (CI JRC072).
6 - Cambiar el IC U2.

hello dear, i have exactly the same ic burned, with the two 10ohm through hole resistor burned as well, and the meter left is not working anymore, the right meter instead works only at full volume!, Can you please help me, how did you solved this? changing all the tl072?and resistors? do you have right schematic? I dont know whats happened i was trying to stream usd audio to my pc chamging connection and i suddenly felt smell bad. incredible ho the foto looks the same^, Please Help me !
