At the moment my systems has boxes, boards and wires everywhere.....(doesn't everyone's?!)....but I am slowly and surely finalising things and making final implementations.
I have a 48v smps for tpa3255, 12v ac requirement for Dacmagic, potentially the psu for my 're housed Sony PS1....for now.
I was considering making one enclosure for all the psus. So o have mains ac in distributed to the various psus and then umbilical power out to the various bits of kit.
Other than the safety requirements of ground and fuse, is this an acceptable way of doing things? I suppose I ask from an interaction of EMI etc between the psus point of view.
It would cut down on my box count .
Thanks

It depends on how much more electronics you are going to make in recent future. For me electronics mean experiments. So, I have power supply modules, power amplifier modules and pre-amplifier modules etc. such that I can replace a block and re-use the rest when I have a new idea. One big box is fine if this configuration is going to be used for long. Else, it is going to be unhandy.
It also depends on your spouse. Spouses are often particularly "mess" unfriendly. I have been expelled together with all my electronics to the lower floor where I decide (a little).
Often, it is a matter of finding an appropriate storage for all the elements that are momentarily not in use.
Technically it is possible to put more PS in one box.

I was going to name this thread...all my eggs in one basket!
Spouse friendly is very important as trying to explain sequence of turning this on here and this knob switches to this setting there...doesn't go down well. I think she is already getting suspicious all these new boxes and wires!
And this is all in the main family living room!
So I figure one box for turning on all equipment might be handy.!

A logic and family friendly reasoning. Your family's comfort is a very important factor. I know this suspicion - do we really need more? (or are you just experimenting for your own fun?)
