Under Investigation All my bookmarks from before forum update are gone

I tried to search for my bookmarks and found only one I recently bookmarked, all the others are gone it seems, or what happened to them?

Edit:
It seems I must have mixed up the difference between Bookmarks and the "Watched" on the menu bar where the latter is sort of misleading as I thought "Watched" was a new feature on this forum keeping some kind of log of all threads I have ever watched, checking out "Watched" I just see a very long list of unsorted threads page after page and had no idea what I was looking at as it didn't resemble my neatly arranged and named folders.

It seems like bookmarks are a tool for saving a single post although it works for following a thread too, while the "Watch" is another type of bookmark sort of but only for a whole thread, if I got this right.

The poor thing is, those Watch-marks are now unsorted in random order without any tag/label/folder, and having over couple of hundreds of unsorted threads it's really difficult to find threads let alone remember why a thread was saved as I had lots of different folders for various topics I earlier saved under such as "Resistors", "Capacitors" etc., now it's near unmanageable and useless, terrible.

Will we have a folder option or some other way adding labels/tags for our "Watched" threads in the future, and, are the old folders stored somewhere and can/will they be restored at some point later?

[I think in the future this would be beneficial if clarified somewhere]

'Watched' is the same as subscriptions on the old forum software. When you post to a thread you are subscribed to it and will get all the usual alerts, emails, it will be on your watched list etc. You can watch and unwatch threads manually as well. Bookmarks might be something new, which so far I've found are not much different to browser bookmarks.

Thanks for the feedback. I never used the folders for subscribed threads in VB myself. I will try to fire up an old copy of the site pre-migration and see how that used to work. You are the first person to mention this, so I'm not sure how frequently this feature was used.

I would definitely like to see much better features in terms of watched threads. Right now I can't see whether I'm signed up for emails from them or not, and we have lost the daily/weekly digest options. This is something to pursue, as this is very much a core forum feature.

Could this feature be used to take some watched threads out of rotation, EG ones that come up all the time but which I only want to view occasionally, so I don't want to delete them, just put them aside?

ah yes, 'subscription' was the word used on the old forum, I would wish we could have that old name back as 'watched' sounds too generic, it doesn't hint I am subscribing to a thread but rather the act of "I have seen that thread" and that's it.., also the past tense form sounds wrong to me, shouldn't it at least be 'Watching" which is hinting of an ongoing process that has not ended, until one do an 'Unwatch'.

In hindsight I realize that I should have saved all my subscribed threads as bookmarks directly in my own browser residing on my computer where I can much easier create, edit and reorganize my bookmarks/bookmark folders, moreover browser bookmarks can easily be exported in a single file, or synced to the cloud, if one feel comfortable with that.
