Hello DreadPirate,
Yes, the post office is not delivering what it has contracted for it seems. Just why do you think you can trust it for just US companies???
Miss your logic.

The logic is that a good number of packages from China are being detained by the USPS for long periods whereas domestic packages always arrive promptly.
As luck would have it, got one today ordered 2/15 that arrived in the US on 3/14.

Same situation in the UK. Caught the postman today and he says they're limiting the number of workers in facilities to minimise contact. My guess is there's a massive backlog for low priority items and domestic items with higher postage take priority.
Just received my 2 alu-enclosures. Ordered about a month ago, and I chose DHL Express to get them quickly....... At least I thought so 🙂
Took 6 days to get "Electronic info received", then sat in HongKong for more than 2 weeks before finally moving.
I think, the number of flights out of Asia are heavily reduced due to Corona.
Ordered some cheap plastic worm gears the other day, and instantly got a message from seller, that he would be happy to refund, since all normal postal flights out of China were banned for now. They were cheap so I just chose to wait until the ban is lifted.

I think JMFahey pretty much summed it up, read a news paper. Most inter country shipping is backlogged, if not shutdown competently as postal distribution centres are operating with skeleton staff. I have received packages from China and other Asian countries this year, but with all of them i could see them sitting in export centres for weeks. Honestly i was surprised they moved at all in the midst of this pandemic.
Well someone ought to notify AliExpress that there is a pandemic affecting delivery of their products because neither the main site nor any vendor's pages I have ordered from are saying peep about it. Not a single one. I just checked. Hence, my post. I have come across domestic sellers warning of delays in shipping, there a are a few, but by and large domestic shipping is operating with only mild impact thus far.
Hi,
Have to agree. Some have an axe to grind and think companies and workers other than their preferred locations have no right to make money. Blame any failure on the company - like the pandemic or the post office not doing what it took money to do.
Don't seem to understand how a free enterprise system is supposed to work and want others to use only their preferred businesses. Which makes you wonder why they care so much what other are doing, vested interest???

+1. Fine if you won't use Ali for yourself for reasons X, Y, and Z. But trying to impose your value decisions on others as "correct" or "truth" is juvenile.
I've had stuff arrive here in NZ okay. But yes, it is slow. Probably* something to do with the current global pandemic, there are simply fewer planes in the air and dedicated freight carriers are operating a reduced schedule.
I have seen mention that the USPS is struggling, and anecdotal evidence of that in packages sent from the U.S. taking over 3 weeks to get 2 states over ... so the slow and erattic delivery being experienced by forum members in the United States may be due to a combination of factors.
*Definitely
