As often happens things come up and projects get left collecting dust. I am posting pictures on an attempt at building an Alfredo Horn with rudimentary tools. This is an update of what my friend, Sean "faithintruth," and I started on

It isn't as pretty as Andrew's http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/283795-pics-new-lowther-alfredo-horn-using-cncd-birch-ply.html CNC project but it is a lot of fun to build and assemble.
Now for Pictures.
Unfortunately, it would seem that my carpentry skills are worse than my photography skills and I will unfortunately have to paint it.
That being said, in its current state it sounds great!

The driver is a Fe206en. Sean and I also made a metronome set , with Fe126en, and have compared them. The Metronomes have greater imaging and sound stage but the horns provide the better overall presentation and 'full' sound.
Spent last night sanding and sanding. The cabinets have a 1/2 round and the mouth of the horn has as well a 2" 45 degree flare.

The sides are actually in great shape; going to finish them in tung oil. The other sections don't know yet.... sand ... sand ... sand.
Ah the importance of a good cutting fence. I like the Festool one for circular sawing....I thought it maybe cheap to veneer the center panels and use the same finish on the whole cabinet. Love to hear them with your finished (?) KT88.
