Hi Everyone,
For Aleph2 600VA transformer monoblock, which one is correct Secondary VA rating. I need to create +/-40 volt symmetric psu.
SECONDARY : 0---40 V./ 600 VA,
0---40 V./ 600 VA
or
SECONDARY : 0---40 V./ 300 VA,
0---40 V./ 300 VA
Is above correct way to write that I need symmetrical/In phase secondary to create +/-40V?

"voltage rails of supply are at 45V,each channel draws approx. 300W"
that calls for 72Vct secondary ( means 72Vac center tapped, or two 36Vac secondaries in series)
power definition of (entire) xformer should be minimum 600VA, per channel

Thank you
Sorry for being stupid
So Series means 72V 600VA
or
0---36 V./ 600 VA
0---36 V./ 600 VA
In phase
I tested PSU with my modded transformer and 36V gives me 41Vdc CCLCC so choosing 40V secondary.

simple as is :
72Vct, 600VA
that counting on regular CRC , where you can apply ( rule of thumb) 1.25 multiplier for Vac
in case that you have bigger losses in your filter, you need to adjust/choose secondary voltage to get desired rails
just reminder - original Aleph 2 is having simple C filter, 2* 22mF per rail
