Aleph2 or Aleph-X for Martin Logan Request?

Hallo,

is the Aleph-X better than a Aleph 2 for the Martin Logan Request?
This Speaker (it´s a ESL) has 1,2 Ohm at the highest frequences.
I think Bass is ca. 4 Ohm
But 2 Ohm @15khz and 1,2 Ohm @20khz

I think I have to build an amplifier with low Voltage but high current.
Is Aleph-X or Aleph2 better for the Request Speakers?
Which amp sounds better with this speakers?
It has not to sound too loud.

Can someone help me?

Thank you for all incoming answers.

Both designs sound wonderfull (Aleph and Aleph-X) but bear in mind that the power output of an Aleph-X rapidly falls at lower impedances. My version produces about 90W/8 Ohm, 50 W/4 Ohm and 25 W/2 Ohm. That's why I decided to built a new set with a powerdelivery that goes up instead of down at low impedances. In short: an Aleph-X isn't the logical choice for this type of loudspeaker, the load being so heavy.

The Aleph 2 delivers 100W/8Ohm and 140 W/4 Ohm. By itself it's stonger than an Aleph-X and since your speakers have a very low impedance, power is important. But if the low impedances occur at higher frequencies and you don't play very loud, power isn't the most important issue because the music in this frequency range doesn't require a lot of energy.

The A-75 is a real powerhouse is reported to have a really good sound. The Alpeh-2 sounds great too.

In my opinion (for what is worth) both would do a really great job of driving your ML's.

Good luck !
