Aleph X heat sink thread

I hope Theresa checks out this thread some time so that she
knows that there are a lot of satisfied customers from the
DIY purchase. Having spent many years in customer service
myself i can say that in all my dealings with her she was kind,
courteous, and prompt. A+ service in my book. I hope we can
do business with her and R-Theta again.

was there ever a final total of the number of heat sinks we
ordered? I know it was over 150 right?


(there must be a lot of DIYing going on out there
now that everyone has their heat sinks and
Aleph-X boards 🙂 )

I sent her an email in everyone's name to thank her.
I think the purchase went extremely well and we got a hell of a good deal!

The guys that did the design, had to buy a minimum lot of close to a km (1000m)........!!! + tooling cost.....

They are now moving to watercooling, and selling their remaining stock. (Has been used for extreme power-regulators).

My lot cost me close to N.kr.: 5000,- wich is close to euro 670,- .

Yes...just over 50kg, including "front/rear-plate"
Will be able to handle "over-biasing" safely...

OT, but...

Peter,
In you Aleph 5s how did you mount the xfomer to the heatsink without drilling a dirty great hole in the side of your lovely amps?!

Thanks - just wanted to know cause I want to use a similar setup for my Aleph Xs.
